Google Drive Audit Export
Awthy Hub handles Google authorization for this connection. You do not need to create a Google Cloud application or enter a Google client ID or client secret in WordPress.
Before you start
Connect the site to your account at Awthy Hub using the Hub connection guide. You also need the export entitlement and access to the destination Google account or Shared Drive folder. If the connection control is unavailable, follow its visible message before proceeding.
Connect a folder
- Open Awthy → Reporting → Evidence/export.
- In Audit export, select Set up Google Drive.
- Under Google Drive folder, choose one of the available options:
- Create or reuse Awthy Backups in My Drive;
- Select an existing My Drive folder;
- Select a Shared Drive folder.
- Select Connect Google Drive and complete Google's authorization screens using the intended Google account.
- Complete folder selection when prompted, then return to WordPress and confirm the destination is connected.
- Check the next scheduled export, then confirm Recent audit export runs records success and the files appear in your chosen folder.
For a simple first connection, choose Create or reuse Awthy Backups in My Drive. For a team-owned destination, use a Shared Drive folder your Google account is permitted to write to.
Access and recovery
The connection uses Google's limited drive.file permission. Google access tokens are not shown in WordPress.
Never send authorization links, claim codes, or Google tokens to support.
If authorization is cancelled, restart the connection. If Google approves access but WordPress reports an error, keep the safe on-screen message and check the Hub connection before trying again. If a Shared Drive folder is rejected, check the Google account's permissions and the organization's sharing policy.
Disconnecting the destination stops scheduled exports to it and removes its saved connection. Existing files in Google Drive remain there.
